Congratulations to Lakshmanan Govindan, Asian Champion for achieving

Though he could not advance into the finals since he came 15th in his heat and 31st overall (only the top five from each heats advanced automatically) but he could fulfill one of his wish of meeting & running along with 5,000 and 10,000m World Champion Mo Farah.

The other wish which he had while he arrived in London was to better Bahadur Prasad’s 25 year old 5k National Record (13:29.70s) which he could not achieve and is determined to break the record one day.

Coach Surendra Singh shared his excitement on his facebook post and we heartly congratulate him also on the achievement of Lakshmanan.

It's a great moment for Indian Athletes and we hope and wish more and more youngsters would take the inspiration from these successes and take Indian Athletics to the next level
